About the Trust

Indian Forest Service Benevolent and Welfare Trust is a public charitable trust established to provide financial assistance to the bereaved families of officers and all other forestry field personnel. Originally constituted in July, 2008, the Trust operates as a non-profit initiative guided by the spirit of service, fraternity, and compassion. Revitalized in 2026, it seeks to expand welfare support through structured benevolent programmes.

To extend support to the families of forestry field personnel who lose their lives, health, or livelihood in the line of duty.

Objects and Purposes of the Trust

Financial Assistance to Bereaved Families

To provide financial assistance to the bereaved families of officers and all other forestry field personnel including IFS officers, State Forest Service officers, Forest Range officers, and all other forestry field personnel who die while performing their duties.

Financial Assistance to Forest Officers

To provide financial assistance to officers and all forestry field personnel who suffer serious injuries, disabilities, or critical illness while performing their duties.

Welfare for Family Members

To undertake any other activities for the welfare of the family members of officers and all other forestry field personnel, as decided by the Trustees from time to time.
