Message from the President

India’s forests and wildlife are protected every day by dedicated field personnel who work in some of the most difficult and hazardous conditions—from remote high-altitude forests to dense tropical landscapes. Many among these frontline protectors make the ultimate sacrifice or suffer grievous injuries and illness in the line of duty while safeguarding our nation’s natural heritage.

The Indian Forest Service Benevolent and Welfare Fund stands in solidarity with these brave individuals and their families. With our renewed mandate, the Trust seeks to provide timely support and compassionate assistance to the families of frontline forestry personnel who lose their lives, health, or livelihood while protecting our forests and wildlife, in addition to continuing its support for Indian Forest Service officers and their families.

Through transparent governance, collective commitment, and the goodwill of our members and supporters, we aim to ensure that the families of these unsung guardians are not left alone in their hours of need.

Together, we reaffirm our resolve to honour their sacrifices, support their families, and continue the larger mission of conserving India’s forests and biodiversity for future generations.
